Bio: With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist and three Division 1 championships, and reaching the Southern California Semi-finals of CIF in tennis. As a teaching professional at Braemar Country Club, Mika's Tennis Academy, and a former Special Education instructor, registered behavior therapist, adaptive skills clinician, mobility trainer, and physical therapist aide, I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and Biomechanics. Bio: Hi there! My name is Skylar and I’m thrilled to be your coach. I’ve been playing pickleball for about 2 years and have been a licensed PPR coach for about 6 months. Along with my doubles partner I’ve helped build the pickleball program at The Griffin Club in Culver City. From beginner to pro I love creating a relaxing environment where we can lock in the fundamentals and I can give you all the tools you need to succeed. Bio: Involved in tennis since 9. Competed for 40+ years. Started playing pickleball after a shoulder surgery in 2021 and haven't been able to put the paddle down! I feel that my methods of teaching tennis crossover and help me when teaching the finer elements of playing pickleball. “Spirit of the Rally” is the name of my drills that teach stroke production and footwork. I consistently play at a 4.5 level to 5.0 and have a strong track record in tournaments. I'm dedicated to continuous improvement and always eager to compete and test my skills against other players. As far as my coaching goes, I am a very supportive teacher to beginners and intermediate players in helping them to learn to play the game, improve their game where they need and give them the skills they require to play at a higher level.
