As an ambidextrous player, I’m able to demonstrate and coach from both the forehand and backhand sides naturally, which gives students a unique visual and technical advantage when learning stroke mechanics, positioning, and shot development. In addition to tennis, I’ve played hockey and baseball throughout my life, which has given me a deep understanding of athletic movement, discipline, and cross-training techniques. I often integrate elements from those sports—like agility drills, hand-eye coordination work, and strength and conditioning regimens—that translate exceptionally well on the tennis court. Tennis has been a lifelong love, with my journey extending to Lafayette College where I was a four-year starter in both doubles and singles. My teaching journey began in high school when I started instructing at local clubs and working as a counselor at tennis camps. Chen Chen was hired as the head women's tennis coach at Salem State in 2022. Chen has been the head mens' tennis coach since 2020 after playing for the Vikings for four seasons. A two-time captain of the Salem State men's tennis team. He earned first and second team All-Little East Conference honors three separate times during his career. Chen captained Salem State to just their second Little East Conference Tournament Championship and fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. His 29 doubles wins currently rank second all-time in program history. A Dean's List member, he was a three-time All-Little East All-Academic selection and three-time National Scholar Athlete Day Award winner. Chen also became the first former player and head coach to win the LEC conference in 2023. Currently live in North Andover, MA.

Andie has over 15 years of coaching and playing experience. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated to New England in 2011 and began coaching professionally; while also working in Banking and Finance as a Mortgage Loan Officer. She is RSPA/USPTA CERTIFIED NewTennis Player and USTA SafeSport Certified Coach. Wheelchair Accessible Coach. Her tennis game is inspired by the likes of Monica Seles, Venus Williams and Pete Sampras to name a few. She focuses on fun drills with structured sessions to enable personal growth and expanding the reach of the game. Her knowledge comes from decades of playing and teaching alongside all levels of players. She is passionate about sharing the game with everyone!

I am Lucca Leal, a Brazilian college student athlete at the University of Mobile, who loves to play and teach tennis at any time. I would like to pass my knowledge and passion for the sport to my students so they can have a good time just like I do. I have been coaching tennis for almost 3 years to kids, teenagers, and adults at beginner and intermediate levels. In the summer of 2024, I worked at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York, where I had the opportunity to coach several people. On my college campus, I give weekly lessons to kids aged 9. In addition, I have also helped students and teammates with strategy-focused and hitting sessions. I am extremely dedicated, persistent, patient, and professional. Most importantly, I love to help people and I will do my best to help you with your tennis goals. Finally, in my lessons, I tend to focus a lot on technique and tactics by passing on the knowledge that I acquire in my college environment, but always prioritizing your entertainment and enjoyment.
