I began playing tennis in middle school with an athletic background. I quickly fell in love with the sport and began training 4 to 6 hours daily. I continued to compete collegiately while majoring in psychology. I have always enjoyed helping others and tennis is a blend of technical, tactical and mental. I use fact-based instruction and psychological strategies to improve my students playing ability and mental game. I have coached tennis for over 3 years including 8 months at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas. Hello my name is Demis and I am fun, local Murfreesboro tennis coach with over 19 years of playing experience and over 6 years of teaching experience! From a very young age, I have been deeply immersed in the world of tennis, starting my journey at the age of 4. My passion and also dedication led me to become a member of the Greek National Team four times-twice for the U16 and twice for the U18 categories, where I finished the year ranked as the national #1. I pursued my college tennis career at Radford University where I spent four years, earning numerous personal accolades, including “Player of the Year” and also winning the conference championship. I then transferred to Middle Tennessee State University for my final year, where we triumphed in the championship. With six years of coaching experience, I began by teaching young kids tennis and have since expanded to coaching both adults and children and have taught at country clubs and academies in New Jersey and Nantucket.
