The lesson focused nicely on simplifying my approach, which I appreciated. It felt good to concentrate on just a couple of things like keeping the club face more open and reducing sway. That’s a helpful reminder for next time. Though, I still think I could improve how I position my arms and avoid over-swinging. Still, Lanam’s teaching style makes it easy to stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Definitely worth giving it a try if you’re after practical tips grounded in real technique.

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonGetting comfortable with fundamentals. Setup, alignment, grip and pre-shot routine. When we practice we are ingraining our habits good or bad so it is exceptionally important when we do practice to practice within a set of fundamentals that help us succeed. I have a large number of drills and physical feelings that help encourage the correct fundamentals and motions.

Lesson 11+Pain, anxiety, less $$$ and a lifelong obsession.

Lesson 4-10Different shot types, shapes, course management, additional drills that can help with your specific goals.

Lesson 2-3Continued work on a good foundation, corrections in drill work as well as working through any issues that have arisen as a result of the changes and drills.

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonTypically and advanced player gets lessons when there is a specific problem in their game or they will have a specific area of focus in mind. We will take a look at what could be incorrect in the swing for the specific shot.

Lesson 4-10Additional types of shots, shot shapes, trajectory control.

Lesson 2-3This will be dependent on how we’ve decided to attack the issues from the previous lesson. More feels or drills to accentuate the feel and positions we are looking for.
