About your pickleball coach
My passion is to introduce new and beginning players to the world of pickleball. I have been playing and coach pickleball for 18 years. While I am now in the senior category I have kept myself physically and mentally fit, have a very positive outlook and enjoy coaching players at clinics and lessons. I love to watch players become addicted to this embracing game, watch the social connections made and appreciate their improvement in skill level over time as they work hard to do so. So rewarding!!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson begins with 3 simple stretching exercises, an introduction to the pickleball court, the different types of paddles, explaining power vs placement, simple dinking drills to get players comfortable with paddle and ball, a dinking game to introduce scoring, court strokes both forehand and backhand, serving, a few basic rules such as what constitutes a kitchen violation, the 2 bounce rule and finally a full court game. All of this us covered in a 2-hour session.
Lesson 11+Drilling and game playing, setting up specific scenarios for the players to have to overcome. Includes some time for live ball drills
Lesson 4-10Drilling and game playing, court position, shot placement and introducing strategic elements including reading opponents and how they play.
Lesson 2-3Refresher/ review of Lesson 1, serving and return of serve, third shot options, resets, drilling and play games. Player questions and answers.
Advanced training plan
What you need to bringBring water to stay hydrated, safe non slip shoes, loose clothing and wear a big smile for a good time.
What I can bringMy players do not need to make any purchases to participate in my clinics and lessons. I have loaner paddles and pickleballs for use during. For a $20 deposit students may borrow a paddle and balls to practice with after the lesson. The deposit is returned to the student once the paddle and balls are returned, so their is no cost to the student.
