Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe’ll start with dinking at the kitchen line. Once comfortable we’ll focus on base line drives with the goal of keeping the ball inside the court. After dinking and drives have been assessed we’ll work on understanding rules of the game through mock games.
Lesson 11+With the help of the previous lessons you’ll have an exceptional understanding of the basics and the ability to score high percentage shots. We will participate in open play matches where I am your partner and you’ll be critiqued and advised after each match.
Lesson 4-10These lessons will consist of training offense such as moving the defense to score and attacking loose balls for high percentage points.
Lesson 2-3Next will come serves. Its one thing to simply serve but another to use your serve as an offense weapon. We’ll go through the motion of serves with top spin, slice, and lobs.
What you need to bringIt’s recommended to supply your own paddle. Be sure to bring water for hydration during breaks.
What I can bringPaddles and balls can be supplied if needed.
