Please remember to wear comfy athletic clothes and preferably tennis shoes. I will provide the rest of the equipment such as pickleballs and good professional paddles!

Since pickleball involves tennis-like movement, the only thing that is really important is tennis shoes as they prevent you from twisting an ankle. If you don’t have tennis shoes, bring another athletic ones and I will adjust the training. No worries. I can also bring you a paddle.

1. Keep Instructions Simple and Visual • Demonstrate more than you explain. • Use cones, spots, or visual targets. • make it a game . The key is to keep them moving, smiling, and learning without too much technical overload.

Beginner Pickleball Plan for Young Kids Lesson 1: Introduction & Fun with Fundamentals Goal: Introduce the sport, build excitement, and learn the basics. 1. Welcome & Icebreaker Show them the ball and paddle, let them feel it. 2. Warm-Up Game “Red Light, Green Light” with paddle in hand to get them moving and practicing control. 3. Grip & Ready Position Teach the "shake hands" grip. Practice the ready position with fun cues 4. Paddle Skills Station Bounce & Catch: Bounce ball on paddle and catch. Air Dribble: Keep ball bouncing on paddle while moving. Wall Bounce: Hit ball against a wall and catch rebound. 5. Serving Basics Show underhand serve motion. Practice serving into a big target 6. Mini Rally Game Partner up for small rallies, aiming to keep the ball going back and forth. Count how many hits in a row. 7. Wrap-Up Circle time: ask what they liked most. Give a fun pickleball-related challenge to try at home (like paddle bouncing 10 times).
