Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI will find out your experience and if you have anything you are looking for specifically. I will let you dictate what you would like unless you want me to take over with my judgement. I’ll show you a routine for stretches and go over ways to avoid injury. As we start I’ll be able to make a plan of action and create drills to help grow your game and confidence! Of course, if you want to just hit or simulate matches I would love to help there as well!
Lesson 2-3At this point we would have highlighted what we want to work on. I have a wide variety of games/drills that we can begin to play out and find ways to have fun and work on what you need! At this point we can work on tennis fitness if that’s something you would like to do. I can cater drills to feel like a workout if needed.
Lesson 4-10At this point I would request feedback on what differences you notice in yourself. I’ll be open to working with any concerns or ideas. Otherwise I will keep building a tennis foundation through foreheads, backhands, serve, and volley. We will work on consistency from the baseline and being able to control your shots. If your tennis foundation is close to set, we will work on more advanced shots or ideas.
Lesson 11+You will be a professional at this point (kidding). We will work together simulate playing a match and grow confidence in winning points. Everybody improves at different rates and we will work together to make sure we are fine tuning your tennis game but more importantly finding ways to have fun with games and goals as always. That’s key.
