Bio: Trained initially by ear, I developed a natural sensitivity to melody, harmony, and rhythm long before beginning formal instruction. This aural-first approach laid the groundwork for a later deep dive into traditional jazz studies, where I refined my skills in improvisation, theory, and performance. My teaching integrates both worlds—fostering creativity and musical intuition while grounding students in the rich language of jazz.

Bio: I’m a multi-instrumentalist and dedicated music educator specializing in piano instruction for students of all ages and skill levels. Drawing on years of experience as a performer, ensemble leader, and arranger, I combine classical rigor with a jazz-informed sense of creativity to help students not only master technique but also develop their own musical voice. With a background in piano, bass, violin, and cello, I bring a deep understanding of music theory, ear training, and ensemble playing to every lesson. My approach blends practical skill-building with musical expression—focusing on reading, improvisation, chord fluency, and stylistic versatility. As the leader of several jazz and worship projects, I also prepare students for real-world performance opportunities, whether in school ensembles, community groups, or solo recitals. My teaching philosophy emphasizes consistency, curiosity, and joy in music-making, equipping students with the tools to grow as confident and well-rounded musicians.
