Bio: Hello, I'm Alvin, a 4.0 rated Pickleball player with a wealth of experience on the court. My passion extends beyond teaching you the sport; I want you to find real enjoyment from each game. I believe Pickleball can be more than just a pastime—it can be an engaging and rewarding part of your life. My approach to coaching focuses on key aspects of the game: comprehending fundamental rules, mastering vital techniques, and strategically engaging your opponent. By learning to strike the ball effectively, you can keep your opponents off balance and enhance your overall game. With me as your coach, every session will be a step closer to becoming a confident and skilled player.

Bio: I started playing pickleball a few years ago and I play several times a week in advanced level open play and ladder sessions. I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to go from not knowing how to play to being a solid pickup player who can play in intermediate and advanced games. I still know exactly what it’s like to be a brand new beginner and trying to figure out the game especially all the rules. My coaching style is easygoing and I try to keep the lessons light hearted so everyone feels welcome and comfortable. I like to use a mix of drills and gameplay with real time instruction and feedback during my lessons. A group of 3 or 4 students makes for a great class because I can play a doubles game with you while teaching you how the game works. I can also advise you on equipment, where to play, what apps to download to find games and leagues, etc. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Bio: From an experienced school teacher to a 4.5 rated Pickleball instructor, I've transitioned my dedication for teaching into a new athletic arena. With over 3 decades of tennis playing and coaching under my belt, including a two-year stint at Mesa College, I bring a rich and diverse experience to my coaching. My journey into the dynamic world of Pickleball started a short 2 years ago, and in that short span, I've achieved a player rating of 4.0 to 4.5. Currently, I am currently a Pro-Certified instructor with the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) to further strengthen my Pickleball coaching credentials. Despite my newfound passion for Pickleball, I still teach tennis, integrating the best of both sports into my training approach. Together, let's work on boosting your skills and raising your game!

What sets me apart is my advocacy for playing pickleball with disabilities, as I personally use a prosthetic device. My mission is to teach pickleball in a loving and accepting way, demonstrating that this sport can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their condition. Having participated in various tournaments, including Nationals, I understand the nuances of competitive play and skill development. I take pride in creating an enriching experience that not only enhances skills but also fosters a deep love for the sport among my students.

Having obtained PPR certification and serve as the club pro at Bay Clubs Carmel Valley and Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, I bring professional expertise and a deep passion for the game to every coaching session. My own journey in pickleball began just two years ago at the 3.0 level, but through dedication and hard work, I've ascended to the 5.0 level, securing gold medals in numerous tournaments along the way.
